Tough times.

It has been busy past few days... I had my birthday... 
My husband has forgotten but it is all good because my 4 year old reminded him....LOL
We are preparing for my younger son's baptism... So it has been busy.
Plus he had just discovered his voice and learn how to scream...God help me... My ears want to explode.. He is so loud LOL
And of course never ending sleep deprivation.. Him weakening for whatever reason... Teething perhaps??..  But mommy needs to sleep... God help me.

Difficult questions

So another day, my 4 year old son asks me:" how do girls pee? "
I was trying to quickly come up with a smart answer not to sound stupid but smart. So I sad:" girls do it differently, they have to sit". .and of course that answer did not satisfy him and says:" I know that but how if they don't have peepee..:-)
Let's the fun begin..
And this morning while getting ready to school..  He says:" mommy, I don't have a girlfriend yet..." yet..?! I  said baby, you are only 4 years old...you have plenty of time..and then I asked:" does any of your friend have a girlfriend?! (hoping he says no)..
He answers :" no, but I want to have one..."
OMG...

Did my wish come true?

Remember my wish for Valentines?
My dear lovely hubby listened and I got just like I wanted champagne, chocolate and strawberries...  Hmmm
So ladies,once again do not think that your loved ones will know what you want...
You have to tell them. Give them clues...
That's the only way...

Sleep deprivation....

If you are thinking of putting your kids to bed at a different time than usual, BAD idea!!!
That's what I did yesterday...so I decided to go and see my older one dancing Zumba and we skipped younger one bed time. I am thinking or half an hour, no big deal...
I was so wrong!!!It took him forever to fall asleep, and then for whatever reason he was up at 12, 3, and up and ready for a day at 5 AM.
I look: let' s say: it is not my best day, I don't feel like make up either....
I  don't know where I am getting the energy from... to take care of him and my older one when he is back from school...maybe from the air...

My plans today is a meeting with local moms and swimming with the little one, for the first time.
It is scheduled in the evening, so his bedtime is gonna get delayed again...brrrrr

Keeping kids busy..during winter

I am super excited to start swimming classes with my 4 months old, parent and tot tomorrow!!

My older one-4 Years has been swimming forever and is great at this.
It is so important to encourage kids to play with water.
It is a life lesson -that one day can save their life's.
I never understand parents that are scared to send their kids to swimming.......
 how else are they supposed to learn?????
My older one has been swimming since about 4 months too and now is easily passing every new stage of swimming,... so proud of him..

How to keep kids busy during winter?
That is certainly a challenge..especially when you have active boys like me:)

I have my ways:

• swimming, as mentioned above
• library
• home depot workshops:once a month-my 4 years old LOVES construction related activities !
• dance classes: it is excellent to burn energy for active boys (4 years +)
• local moms groups and events

Little, but something to keep them entertain and me busy.

One thing  for sure, I want my kids to be active not couch potatoes, so I try my best..

New YEAR resolution

So with a NEW Year I decided to lose some weight.  I know how bad it sounds..
But I have been doing pretty good job...so far 15lbs down few more to go
I swear after I am done I am not going to look at the chicken, turkey and cottage cheese for a very long time...... :-P
So my dear lovely son asks me one day(noticing that my food is different than his)... " mommy when I will be big as you, will I have to go on diet too????.

F for Friday, W for weekend

Here it is- weekend is just around the corner ...
So, any big plans?
Let's see-grocery, laundry, cleaning.... yeah that a woman's life but hold on good things are coming up  :) I am having a night out on the 15th for :"Fifty shades..."movie. Can not wait. 

Although the theatre is 5 minutes away but still I will be out without kids and that is BIG. 

Good story in the news today:
 Unemployment rate went down: great! That is always an interesting topic, how do they come up with these stats?

Valentine's coming....

So, I have been married for...how may years,,,oh yeah..it will be 11 years !!!!!!!!what? Time flies.
After all these years I still get excited about Valentines;
Since we have 2 kids and no one really to babysit, romantic dinner is out of picture...
I know that guys do not have memory for dates and holidays so I gently reminded my husband:
"Baby, you know Valentines is coming, we cant really go out I would be very happy with just chocolate fountain and strawberries" ( I have such a craving for it ... and no I am not pregnant :))
and he goes:"Really?Do you want to celebrate this commercial holiday, you know I love you."
YES, YES, YES I want to celebrate Valentines and I want my chocolate fountain and strawberries!!!!!

My boys

So my little one-J is 4 months, adorable, happy, active baby boy.
These days he has a cold..poor baby 
He can't breathe because his nose is stuff and wakes up every 2 hours..and wakes me up and my husband..these days is hard..

Luckily, I am on mat leave, otherwise I will not be able to function...
All I have to do is to get up, get my older one ready and drop him off to school..
I love these days no work, no make up needed....
I see other moms with their little ones dropping of their kids too and we all look the same, like zombies, no make up,tired eyes, we do not even have to talk to each other, 
we will look and we know-tough night!!

My older one-D is 4 years and he started JK last September.
He is a super active, happy, smart and bright boy. Very talkative... 
He reached a stage when asks so many questions, most of them starting with WHY..
:))))))))))))))
Yep, and sometimes I just want to say because but I cant , he looks at me with his big eyes waiting for the full answer and if it is too short another why comes in....
